JAZZIZ MAGAZINE

THE MAGAZINE

JAZZIZ is a Miami-based special-interest magazine dedicated to the international jazz and blues scene. Published quarterly, the title covers contemporary and classic artists, new releases, in-depth interviews, and cultural developments within the global music landscape.

Positioned at the intersection of music journalism and design-driven publishing, Jazziz addresses a knowledgeable and passionate readership, combining editorial depth with high visual standards.

THE TASK

In 2016, I was commissioned to lead a full redesign of the well-established quarterly magazine. The objective was to modernize the publication while preserving its editorial credibility and cultural authority within the jazz community.

Together with the editorial team, we redefined the magazine’s structure, visual language, and typographic system, establishing a clearer hierarchy, improved readability, and a more contemporary design framework. The result was a refined editorial identity that strengthened the magazine’s positioning as a premium publication within the international music publishing sector.
